100mm? According to the EXF data, you took this with a 100mm focal length. Which makes it even more impressive as it means you must have been quite close. I normally shoot at 300-400mm and some pros use 500-600mm. I am really impressed.

Composition is great with the angle of the bird nicely filling the frame. The sharpness and clarity is superb. Perhaps the only thing I could suggest is somehow altering the image to separate the bird from the background. The colours are such that the bird does blend in to some extent. I guess some dodging and burning in Photoshop of GIMP could fix that.

Otherwise, this is a professional quality, superb shot combing great composition with obvious technical skill. Well done.

i think its perfect just the way it is

This photo is stunning: the detail is wonderful and crisp, the colours are nicely balanced and the composition is perfect!

The ISO reads 250, so I'm assuming this was taken in sports mode, is that right? Or can the D200 be placed at ISO 250 manually.
